  • An Atmos Demo-Worthy Experience!

    on Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Just watched this and the Atmos track was absolutely impressive. Right from the action sequences, the bass had some serious impact. The LFE hits hard and deep, but still stays clean without overpowering everything else. What impressed me most was how immersive the soundstage felt. There was a lot happening around the room, with effects moving through the surrounds and plenty of activity from the overhead channels. It really gave the action scenes a full 3D feel instead of everything coming from the front. The dynamic range was excellent too. The quieter scenes sounded detailed and controlled, and when the action kicked in, the system really came alive. Dialogue stayed clear even with all the effects, music, and bass going on. Overall, this is one of those Atmos tracks that makes you appreciate having a full home theater setup. Powerful bass, excellent surround activity, strong overhead presence, and great dynamics throughout. Definitely a demo-worthy Atmos track for me.

  • - Mothership arrival loads sustained low-frequency presence into the sub for a full three-minute approach sequence - Destruction-day energy beam collapses the front stage to a single sustained tone before each city falls - Dogfight finale routes alien fighter passes through specific overhead positions with audible vertical Doppler

  • - Tower-fire propagation routes flame-roar and structural creak through specific overhead positions in continuous travel - Crane-jump sequence drops sustained wind shear into the height channels with a clean directional envelope - Glass-shatter set-pieces place each pane fracture at a distinct surround address rather than collapsing to a wash
