Resident Evil (2026) Audio Review: B&B Grand Screen DTS:X Experience

I just watched the new Resident Evil (2026) reboot at the B&B Theatres Grand Screen in Kansas. While the movie is mixed in Dolby Atmos for most cinemas, B&B uses DTS:X in their premium large-format rooms.

The Resident Evil DTS:X mix is an absolute blast in the theater. The bass is the best part. Every gunshot and explosion hits your chest hard, and the mutant monster roars make the whole room rumble. The surround sound and height speakers do a great job tracking threats. When creatures crawl on the ceiling or run behind you, you can hear exactly where they are. Dialogue stays loud and clear, even when the industrial synth music gets super intense during action scenes. It is a must-watch if you love great horror movie audio.
