  The movie itself is fun and boastful, but it has one of; if not the best Atmos Demo scenes in any of my 400+ Kaleidescape movie system. When he is stuck int he projector hologram room, Mysterio's voice radiates and blasts throughout every channel on your system. it is a must show when explaining why surround and Atmos is important.

  This is a terrible movie if you are looking for a movie that has properly writtten characters and central themes ... It is however the most over the top egregious use of bass that I have ever played in my home theater. THe opening scene is nearly 2 minutes of bass that extends rediculously low in the single digits at extremely strong levels; and there are at least 10 other scenes that do similar throughout the movie... If I want to show what my theater can do... this is an amazing choice to show the sheer power of what Michael Bay can create.

  The movie is spectacular from an audio persepective. The surround sound and effects are rivalled by no movie, during the initial shootout in the mountains. The supressors and AK's sounded like pure bliss, even at -10 from reference. Occasionally i will listen to that scene at reference; and the impact of the gunshots is out of this world. If you do have transducers, there is a scene stands out as bookmark for any demo you can show your friends and family. The intial frogman speech to the drop, has the hardest hitting 7hz frequency bass, and it extends for long enough for you to realize that if you don't have Crowsons, or a sub that can play that low; you will begin chasing that rabbit, and for that I am sorry. HTe bas score I gave, doesn't match the movie's gripping hold it has on you. There jsut isn't enough of it to match the giants of the some of the other bass heavy films.
