Overview
In the land of Oz, ostracized and misunderstood green-skinned Elphaba is forced to share a room with the popular aristocrat Glinda at Shiz University, and the two's unlikely friendship is tested as they begin to fulfill their respective destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked (2024) Dolby Atmos Review — Clear Vocals and Room-Filling Music
The singing is the highlight for me in Wicked. The vocals stay clear even when the orchestra gets louder, and the music has a wide, full sound. You can follow the voices without them getting lost in everything else.
The Dolby Atmos mix gives the bigger musical numbers plenty of space. The surround speakers help the music fill the room, while the background sounds at Shiz make the busy scenes feel more lively.
“Defying Gravity” is the scene I would replay. The quieter singing builds into a much bigger performance, with the orchestra and height effects adding to the scale. That change is a good example of the movie’s dynamic range.
The bass adds weight where it needs to, and dialogue remains easy to follow between songs. For me, the balance between the voices and music is what makes this such an enjoyable home theater audio experience. The finale is a good choice for a Dolby Atmos music demo.
