Batmobile chase and dark Gotham sound
The Batmobile chase was the highlight for me, with the engine sound and bass having great impact. The rain and Gotham background sounds also created a very good atmosphere around the theatre. The Batman theme and background music sounded powerful, and the Atmos effects added nicely to the dark mood.
Giacchino's funeral march in the sub
Batmobile chase exhaust note grinds in the floor for a continuous full minute without losing detail at the top end - Rain-soaked Gotham ambience pools in the surround field with directional drips coming from precise overhead points - Theme statement at the funeral collapses to a single sustained brass swell that fills every speaker at once
