Sicario: Day of the Soldado

Sicario: Day of the Soldado sounds really good in Dolby Atmos. The helicopter scenes are the highlight for me. You can hear the helicopters moving overhead, and the height speakers add a lot to these scenes.

The highway ambush is another good scene for surround sound. Gunfire comes from different directions, and you can clearly hear where the shots are coming from. It makes the action feel close and keeps you involved.

The bass has good impact, and dialogue stays clear. There is also a good difference between the quieter moments and the sudden gunfire. Those shots really get your attention.

I still prefer the first Sicario for its Atmos effects. The overhead sounds here don’t feel quite as precise, though they work well during the helicopter scenes. A good home theater audio experience, with the ambush and helicopter sequences being the scenes I would play again.
