Great theatre sound exp
I watched Gladiator in theatre long back, but still remember the sound experience. The battle scenes had very good impact, especially the swords, horses and chariots. The crowd sound during the arena scenes made the experience feel much bigger. The background music was also excellent and added a lot to the movie. Overall, it was a very good theatre experience and the sound was really impressive for that time.
The arena sounds amazing in DTS:X
I watched Gladiator in DTS:X, and it sounds really good on a home theater system. The Colosseum crowd comes from all around the room and makes the arena feel huge. The opening battle and chariot scenes have strong bass, with swords, arrows and horses moving through the speakers. Dialogue stays clear, and the music sounds big without covering anything up.
