Keep the lights off, turn up the volume, and let the sound do its thing
Romulus is seriously good with a proper home-theater setup. The low-frequency rumble, creepy alien sounds, and sudden bursts of action create a lot of tension. The surround speakers also do a great job with little sounds coming from all around you.
Very good Atmos sound and suspense
I watched this movie in theatre and really liked the sound experience. The Atmos effects were very good, especially during the Alien scenes and inside the space station. The surround sound created a good suspense feeling, and the bass had good impact during the action scenes. Overall, a very good theatre audio experience.
Vent crawls that finally use the ceiling
Facehugger swarm sequence routes individual chittering through dozens of discrete overhead points - Microgravity acid-blob scene puts xenomorph blood in slowly drifting surround positions with audible viscosity - Renaissance station ambience pools hum, pipe-clank and distant alarm in three non-overlapping frequency bands
