About this build

Hello, I am a new enthusiast of the home cinema builds this is my story over the past year. It is my first build, I started with a 5.1 system using a Yamaha RX V3800 a massive powerhouse… Ended up selling it to a friend and double the investment to get the Denon X4200W which I absolutely love. As a beginner, I filled my space with 4 upfiring speakers and another av reciever as a preamp for the front channel… total waste of time and cables everywhere. I studied more and got inspired from many different builds ended up building myself a full set of LCR and surrounds with high sensitivity speakers, the amp does not even struggle to push them.. The room is fairly small, 4.60m wide by 3m depth instead it is 2.90m tall! I am last the last floor in the building of 2 stories and 15 apartments, my neighbours love me! :)) My next upgrade would be to move to a Wanbo X7 projector which is new in the market and I think the most accessible 4K projector at the moment.

Full weekend activity! Watched 3 movies in one day and didn't regret a bit! (Insidious 2026, Tenet, Mutiny 2026) Added some RGB lighting for the theater like light vibe. I always liked the darker blue lighting in the big theaters I went, so I added this 3M RGB tape I found out in a Tedi store for just 7 euro! :)) Needed only a usb power adapter and that's all the fuzz. Besides, since Halloween is coming up I also gathered some battery powered yellow lights with some plastic bats on it... Overall, I think that this small update made a big difference into the room makes it feel more alive to say so...

Finished the absorbing treatment, I am now looking towards a diffuser panel to make but I don’t really now where I can place it… I am open to suggestions…. Also, raised the surrounds a little because they were a little bit low into the couch…

This last Saturday, 10.10.2026 I finally installed my front heights and 2 acoustic panels. Since there is only tile on the floor no wood whatsoever and no door to this room, I try to maximise with acoustics panels because there is still not enough to cut the echo..
