Terminator 2: Judgment Day

On 4K the track is DTS-HD MA 5.1 with no height channels, and it still sounds big, punchy and hyper-real. The truck and motorbike chase through the canal is the standout, with a meaty shotgun kick, rasping engines and screeching metal cutting through the score. The T-1000 sounds are inventive, and the liquid metal morphs still sound fresh. The steel mill has great metal-on-metal clangs and thuds. Dialogue is clear and natural, the front three channels are lively, and the surrounds add ambience without overpowering. Bass is tight and strong throughout, and Brad Fiedel's score sits well alongside the effects. A classic that still sounds great.
